combine a unique experience in dealing with the Greek regulatory authorities & courts as well as with the EU institutions.
In particular, we have represented a variety of clients (including corporations, trade associations and the Hellenic Republic) before Independent Authorities, such as the Hellenic Competition Commission, Greek administrative and civil courts as well as various Directorates of the European Commission (DG COMP, MARKT, COMM, ENER).
Besides contentious matters, we have advised corporations on Greek and EC merger control rules and have filed transactions of Greek and EU dimension respectively.
The team
contributes constantly to the development and better understanding of competition law, as well as other areas of the law such as unfair trade practices, public procurement and commercial law, with publications and speaking engagements in Greek and international fora.
Dimitris N. Tzouganatos
PARTNER
Professor of Law at the University of Athens and Member of the Bar of Athens.
Graduate of the Universities of Athens (LL.B., 1976), Tuebingen/Germany (Dr. iur., 1982) and Michigan (LL.M., 1985). Between June 1995 and March 1999, he was Member and between October 2000 and October 2003 Chairman of the Hellenic Competition Commission (National Competition Authority). From October 2003 to July 2004 he served as Chief Legal Counsel and from July 2004 until June 2006 as General Director of Regulatory Affairs of the Hellenic Telecommunications Organization (OTE) Group. From July 2006 to January 2008 he held the position of Chief Legal Counsel of EFG Eurobank.
He is currently Member of the Legal Council of the Bank of Greece (Central Bank). He is also Member of the Advisory Board of the Greek Law Reviews “Business & Company Law” (DEE), “Media & Electronic Communications Law Review” (DiMEE) and “Commercial Law Review” (EEmpD).
He has published books and articles on Competition Law, Unfair Trade Practices, Trademarks, Corporate and Consumer Protection Law in Greek English and German.
Prof. Tzouganatos has served as member or Chairman of several Arbitral Tribunals (in ICC-, DIS-, VIAC- as well as in domestic Arbitrations).
Nikos S. Kosmidis
PARTNER
Nikos Kosmidis graduated from the School of Law of the University of Athens (1998) and holds LL.M degrees in Commercial Law from the School of Law of the University of Athens (1999) and the School of Law of King’s College London (2000). PhD Candidate at the School of Law of the University of Athens. Member of the Athens Bar Association. Senior Associate in the law office of “Pamboukis and Partners” (2003-2004). Partner in the law office of “Tzouganatos and Partners” (2005-today).
He is specialized in the fields of Competition Law, European Law, Commercial Law, Energy and Public Procurement Law. Nikos has extensive advisory and litigation experience, having represented numerous clients before the European, the Cypriot and the Greek Competition Commission and also before the Greek Civil and Administrative Courts.
He has published a monograph and various articles in the fields of Competition, Public Procurement and European law and has delivered speeches in conferences and seminars. Nikos has been a member of the Single Independent Public Procurement Authority (2012-2013).

Katerina Paneri

Katerina Paneri is a graduate of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Law School and a member of the Athens bar Association. Anastasia Stavropoulou

Anastasia Stavropoulou obtained her Law Diploma and an LL.M degree in Commercial Law from the School of Law of the University of Athens (2011 and 2016 respectively). She is admitted in the Athens Bar Association. Her fields of specialization include Competition, Energy and Commercial Law, Litigation and Dispute Resolution. She has published articles and a monograph in the fields of Competition, Capital Markets and Intellectual Property Law.

Christianna Mara

Christianna Mara obtained her law degree (First Class Honours) from University of Athens Law School (2017). Furthermore, she holds an LL.M degree in Competition Law and Intellectual Property Law (First Class Honours) from University of Athens Law School (2019). She is a member of the Athens Bar Association. Competition Law is her area of expertise, having previously worked at the Hellenic Competition Commission and at the Hellenic Telecommunications and Post Commission. Christianna has co-authored with Professor Yannis Katsoulakos the chapter on the Quantification of Damages in Competition Law for the book Law of Free Competition, 2nd edition 2020.

Maria Tzamakou

Maria Eirini Tzamakou obtained her law bachelor degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Law School (2023).
